Music is a universal language, but why do I say this? When we think of music, our first thought might go to our favorite song or artist, but both of those aren’t just listened to by one person; they’re listened to by people across the world.
When it comes to enjoying music, it’s heard by everyone in different ways, but most of the time a song can be put into a specific genre. Each genre brings its own emotions, whether it’s the words or the sound of the instruments speaking to you. When we, as humans, use our language, the objective is to convey a message and emotion, which is exactly what music does.
Whether it’s rock or soul, or whatever genre you listen to, a conversation is going on between you and the band or artist. They will speak to you with their sound, and you will subconsciously respond with the emotions it makes you feel or the movements you use to dance. Music can be made and heard by anyone across the world, and even if the words aren’t perfectly translated, the message is.
