    2023 December Summer

After a long winter cold from the Fall of 2022 to the summer of this year it looks like the same weather effects are happening once again, however, instead of cold and freezing weather, we are getting warm to cool weather. As it seems to be averaging mid 70s temperatures as explained and reported by the Weather Channels’ news website, it does seem that there were days when the temperature was around the mid 80s, which is too hot for December.

To show how December is warmer than usual in Arizona, temperatures during December 2022 used around the mid 60s, lower 60s, and high 50s. But this year in 2023 we have been getting days where we’re getting highs in the mid-80s and lower 80s in December and December is not known to be cool or warm in Arizona, it’s known to have freezing weather and cold afternoons.

From my experience of living my whole life in Arizona, December used to be much-much colder, to the point where I would have to come to school in sweat pants, slippers, and a thicker jacket. We would have flag ceremony outside and during December, and it felt like torture to even be outside for a second. I sometimes wonder if time is messed up or if we’re really in December.
