This year’s Homecoming theme is “A Night in Rio”! This will be a super exciting dance because everyone can dress colorfully and beautifully. It will be a very bright and cheerful night.
Homecoming nominations are also out! There are nominations for King, Queen, Prince, and Princess. The rules are: only one online poster per candidate, and no bullying or negativity during the campaign. This will personally be my first school dance, so make sure to dress in very contrasting colors!
There is also a spirit week that you can participate in.
- Monday, September 22nd: It’s “Birds of a Feather Twin Day.” You can dress up to match someone as Blu and Jewel or as Nico and Pedro.
- Tuesday: It’s “Tacky Tourist Day.” For this day, just look silly, funky, and in full tourist mode!
- Wednesday: It’s “Wild Animal Wednesday!” You can dress up as your favorite wild animal or even as a safari guide.
- Thursday: It’s “Copacabana Beach Day.” Dress in your favorite beach attire! Make sure to follow the dress code, but also try to have the most fun with it.
- Friday: It’s “School Spirit in Rio.” Make sure to show off your school spirit and wear Westwood colors. Add fun glitter and jewelry to give off carnival vibes!
