The Westwood High School bell and year schedule just changed, but why exactly did it change and how did it change?
In an interview with Mrs. Campbell, she told our staff that “working with Arizona Department of Education, we determined to make certain changes so all students get the correct educational time”. This all goes back to adding an 8th class. We added an extra class, so now we need more time to cover that extra class. So the schedules changed because time requirements didn’t fully add up but how did they change? Every class will now be 1 to 2 minutes longer, Wednesdays will be 8 minutes longer, and finals will no longer be half days.
So with these new changes, Westwood leaps into the future with the new block scheduling, and makes sure we, the students get our proper education.
