One of the best things you can do to show school spirit is attending a Warriors football game. From the buzzing student environment to the amazing marching band and cheer team, you’ll never be bored at one of our Friday night games. Here are some tips and reminders when coming to our games!
- Make sure to check the student section theme before the game!
Every Friday the student section comes up with a new theme for students to dress as. For our kickoff game, it was “White Lies.” Students wore shirts with a lie, claiming the opposite was true. For example, “I love skyline” would be a lie, as they were our opponents. Make sure you follow @whsorangecrush to stay updated and show your school spirit
2. Get there early if you can!
During big games seats can fill up quickly so make sure you’re seated somewhere where you can watch the game and cheer for our warriors. Sometimes there are vendors outside selling things during the game so getting there early gives you time to peruse. Lastly, concession lines can get crazy during half time so if there’s something you want, try to get it before halftime starts.
3. Bring water!
Make sure to bring water or buy a bottle before the game. Games can get really hot and sweaty, not only because of the weather but also because of the many hot and sweaty people around you!
4. Be mindful of your surroundings!
Check out our student section rules on @whsorangecrush. Be mindful of the people around you and remember safety always comes first. Please clean up after yourself and remember to be respectful, no yelling profanity.
5. Don’t take yourself too seriously!
You only get four years of high school in your life. Have some fun! Sing to the songs they play, cheer when our warriors score, and dance when you want to. Trust me, nobody’s paying attention and they want to be silly just as much as you do.
