Westwood IB students had yet another fantastic start to the school year with IB arcade night! The annual start-of-school tradition of free unlimited arcade games (and some pizza), is a great way to get connected with your academic peers. Everyone received a pleasant surprise when they walked in to see a completely renovated Starfighters Arcade. With air conditioning and a lot more space, people were bound to have an amazing time.
Another great aspect of this tradition, is that IB freshman get a whole half an hour to themselves before other students start to arrive. This gives students new to the school and program a great opportunity to get to know one another. While some people come and go, the IB program as a whole is a family within the school. Putting names to familiar faces during this fun event, makes for stronger connections that last throughout your high school years.
