Three thousand years ago, great navigators sailed the Pacific and discovered the islands of Oceania. But for a thousand years, their voyages were cut short due to a curse that afflicted their people.
The story of Moana is about a young Polynesian girl, a chief’s daughter, who embarks on a mission to save her people. A curse threatens her island, so Moana must find the demigod Maui to help him return the stolen heart of the goddess Te Fiti and restore balance to the world. On her journey across the ocean, Moana discovers her own identity and her people’s heritage as navigators.
Moana’s mission was to convince Maui to return the heart of Te Fiti to its place and break the curse. This was a costly task, since Maui no longer had his magical hook that allowed him to change forms. But for Moana and Maui, it was not impossible at all, as they faced and overcame many challenges. They fought against the Kakamora, a giant crab who had Maui’s hook, and even against the enraged goddess Te Kā.
Moana was able to continue moving forward because of the advice her grandmother gave her. Moana always followed the advice of those who believed in her, and thanks to that, she was able to save her people. Moana and Maui fought until they gave it their all to save the people, and as a result, the people lived again.
