About
As of 2025, IB Human Geography is a freshman class offered at Westwood High School. Students can take it as a class and take the AP national exam by the end of the school year. The content on the AP exam consists of 7 units. Unit 1: Thinking Geographically, Unit 2: Population and Migration Patterns and Processes, Unit 3: Cultural Patterns and Processes, Unit 4: Political Patterns and Processes, Unit 5: Agriculture and Rural Land-Use Patterns and Processes, Unit 6: Cities and Urban Land-Use Patterns and Processes, and lastly Unit 7: Industrial and Economic Developent Patterns and Processes. all of these unit except unit 1 will be about 12%-17% of the multiple-choice score. The multiple-choice will be 50% of the test, the rest will be for the free-response question.
How to Thrive
First, you have to pay attention in class, which is harder than any of your regular classes (Shout out to Mr. Filippi). Try to learn as much as possible during school so you don’t have to grind at home, which is tiring in my opinion. There are lots of free resources online, I recommend Mr.Sinn Channel; he’s been teaching AP Human Geography for almost a decade. And try to take as many practice tests as possible, as this is the fastest way to learn, in my opinion. Ask your teachers for free practice, they probably have some. If not, there are websites like knowt.com. So yeah, Freshmans and Sophomores, I wished me and you all luck on the FINAL EXAM ON MAY 6TH!!!!
